Frequent questions
How does Suhrid work?
Post a broadcast for an activity you feel like doing (coffee, a walk, dinner …). People nearby who match your criteria see it and can tap "Interested". You pick one of them — that creates a match, and you can chat and meet up.
How does a match happen?
When someone taps "Interested" on your broadcast, they appear in your Requests tab. Accept one of them and the match is created — the broadcast then closes for everyone else.
Are my messages private?
Yes. Messages are end-to-end encrypted — they are encrypted on your device and only your chat partner can decrypt them. Not even our servers can read them.
What can other people see about me?
Only your username, gender, age group and your profile description. Your e-mail address, exact date of birth and phone number are never visible to anyone — your birth date is stored encrypted and only its age group (e.g. 26–35) is shared.
Why can't I send phone numbers or links?
To protect everyone from scams and spam, contact details (phone numbers, links, e-mail addresses, social handles) are blocked in messages, profiles and broadcasts. Get to know each other in the app first — and meet in person, that's what Suhrid is for.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, 18. The age check happens at registration and is also enforced on our servers.
What is Suhrid Plus?
Suhrid is free. Plus raises the limits: up to 5 active broadcasts at once, a 50 km radius instead of 10 km, and broadcasts planned up to 24 hours in advance. Available right in the app — or for free: invite 5 friends and get a one-time 30 days of Plus.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account removes your profile, broadcasts, matches and messages permanently.
