Post a broadcast
Feel like coffee, cinema, brunch or a hike? Pick one of 25+ activities — or "Other" with a short note — and choose the venue from the address suggestions: in Germany, within 25 km of you (the app needs your location for this). For 2 hours it is seen by people whose search radius covers the venue and whose criteria you match. One broadcast per activity.

Anyone interested taps "Interested" and lands in your requests. You decide who you meet — that creates the match and closes the broadcast for everyone else. To tap "Interested" yourself, you need a visible profile photo.

Messages are encrypted on your device and only decrypted on your chat partner's. Our servers only hold the encrypted content – we don't read your messages.

Minimal visibility
Others see only your username, profile photo, gender, age group, description and your answers to the questions — never a photo in the feed. Your e-mail and exact date of birth are never visible to anyone.

Scam protection
Contact details are blocked in messages, profiles and broadcasts — automatic detection disables spammers immediately. You can report users and broadcasts anytime and block chat partners.

Your exact position is never shared with other users — a broadcast shows only the venue you picked, never where you are. Notifications are optional and never contain message text; for broadcast alerts our server only knows a coarse area (a grid cell of about 20 × 40 km).

Accessibility
Made for everyone — and not finished yet
Suhrid runs on text: broadcasts, questions and chats are plain text, plus a single profile photo with a description for screen readers. That makes it more accessible from the ground up than swipe apps. Still, accessibility is work and we're not there yet. Here is an honest picture of what works today and what we're working on.

Screen readers
Buttons, icons and input fields carry labels for TalkBack. Headings and roles are set, and purely decorative icons are skipped.

All text follows the font size you set on your device. Nothing is pinned to a fixed pixel size.

Never colour alone
Status like "Match" or "Plus" is always shown with a word and an icon, never by colour only. The dark design is easy on the eyes.

Frequent questions
How does Suhrid work?
Post a broadcast for an activity you feel like doing (coffee, a walk, dinner …) at a venue nearby. People whose search radius covers the venue and whose criteria you match see it and can tap "Interested". You pick one of them — that creates a match, and you can chat and meet up.
How does a match happen?
When someone taps "Interested" on your broadcast, they appear in your Requests tab. Accept one of them and the match is created — the broadcast then closes for everyone else.
Are my messages private?
Yes. Messages are end-to-end encrypted — they are encrypted on your device and only decrypted on your chat partner's; our servers only hold the encrypted content. So that your chats survive a forgotten password, we keep a sealed copy of your key that our recovery service only opens after a confirmed password reset. We don't read your messages. Who writes to whom and when is needed to run the service and is not encrypted.
What can other people see about me?
Your public profile shows your username, your profile photo (once you have one and don't hide it — hiding is a Plus feature), gender, age group (e.g. 26–35), description, your answers to the matching questions, your favorite questions and your match percentage. Broadcast cards in the feed never show photos. Your e-mail address and exact date of birth are never visible to anyone.
Why can't I send phone numbers or links?
To protect everyone from scams and spam, contact details (phone numbers, links, e-mail addresses, social handles) are blocked in messages, profiles and broadcasts. Get to know each other in the app first — and meet in person, that's what Suhrid is for.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, 18. You enter your date of birth and confirm you're an adult at registration; our servers reject any date of birth under 18.
What is Suhrid Plus?
Suhrid is free. Plus raises the limits: up to 5 active broadcasts at once, a 50 km radius instead of 10 km, 50 instead of 5 active matches, unlimited interests, messaging in all matches instead of only the 3 newest, broadcasts planned up to 24 hours in advance, hiding your profile photo from everyone and a gold Plus badge. Available right in the app — or for free: invite 5 friends and get a one-time 30 days of Plus.
How do I report or block someone?
In a chat you can block or report a person from the menu at the top, report them from their profile, and report any broadcast in the feed via its ⚠ icon. Reported broadcasts disappear from your feed immediately, several reports within 30 days disable an account automatically — and our moderation team reviews them. Manage blocked people under Settings → Privacy.
Can I download my data?
Yes. Settings → Account & profile → Download my data creates a file with everything we store about your account (profile, broadcasts, matches, reports, moderation decisions, consents, purchases and more) plus your profile photo and your decrypted messages. The file contains your messages in plain text — keep it safe.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account permanently removes your profile, profile photo, broadcasts, matches and messages — there is no undo. Export first via Settings → Account & profile → Download my data. A running Plus subscription is not cancelled automatically: cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or on iPhone under Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Can I change my e-mail address or password?
Yes, under Settings → Account & profile. For a new e-mail address we send a 6-digit code there; your chats are kept. Forgot your password? "Forgot password?" on the login screen sends you a code by e-mail — your chats are kept then too. After registering you also confirm your address with a code: you have 3 days, after that your account is paused until you do — nothing is deleted.
